offers a first introduction on the various internationally active Dutch organisations for contemporary visual arts that have an excellent reputation in this field, and extensive global networks.
International promotion of visual arts and design from the Netherlands is an important aim of the Mondriaan Foundation. Each year we support more than 300 projects in over 40 countries. Our international visitor programme provides foreign professionals with an intensive introduction to contemporary art in the Netherlands.
As a foreign professional it is difficult to gain insight into the various existing infrastructures for contemporary visual arts in the Netherlands. The Dutch Art Map provides them with a first introduction. This website gives an overview of internationally active Dutch organisations that have an excellent reputation in their field, and extensive global networks.
The selection has been made under the supervision of Dutch professionals who are active in different disciplines. You will find museums, alternative art spaces, magazines, art fairs, cultural events and postgraduate institutions which are internationally active.
